I am writing to show my thanks and gratitude for the cheque I was recently awarded. It is an extremely generous grant to be awarded and I am incredibly grateful to have been chosen. I hope to use it towards my academic costs; such as text books and writing materials, as well as a trip to explore New Zealand during the university holidays. I will be sure to keep in touch and tell stories of my adventure. I have chosen a module that incorporates the learning of the Chinese language – so I will let you know how I get on!! Once again, thank you ever so much for your kindness. I really appreciate the grant I have been awarded and I hope to return to tell the Stonehouse community of the wonders of Australia.

Thank you very much for your generous grant in response to my request for funding for my expedition to Ecuador & the Galapagos Islands. Following your welcome contribution I am pleased to say I have been able to pay World Challenge the final instalment just in time before the due date. As expressed in your letter, the extra sum of the grant will be utilised by the team & I for the purpose of our community project. For this reason, I have enclosed further details about the nature of this project at a small village school, which will be situated in the Amazon Basin. I will happily provide you with photos/comments on the outcome when I return.
